Amabel Nugpo-De Leon is a world respected, award-winning entrepreneur, educator, author and healthcare professional for over 30 years. She is currently the Founder and CEO of The Whole Self Company and its Ontario, California-based corporate divisions which include THE WHOLE SELF Mindful Skincare, EdZen Solutions, Denu Consulting Group and Denu University (formally Denu Clinical Masters). Like the other leading brands and companies she has created, the launch of her new luxury Mindful Skincare Collection was envisioned for and embraced by her fellow healthcare industry professionals. She is always surprised by her personal and professional belief that “ideas are endless if your purpose is to serve somebody”.

Amabel is also currently the Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President of several respected agencies that provide home health and hospice care throughout Southern California and Arizona. Her companies are Vanura Home Health Services Inc., Optima Home Health Services Inc., Care Dimensions of the Desert, LLC, GMC Professional Hospice, Inc., Vanura Home Health Services Arizona, Averti Care, De Leon Building, LLC, and Ubora Health.

Amabel was born in the Philippines and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at age 20 from Central Philippine University in CPU, Holo City. After working as a nurse, she wanted to believe she needed to do more than working in a hospital and skilled nursing. Her entrepreneurial instincts emerged when she founded Vanura Home Health Services in 2001. Her penchant for serving the community with quality health care allowed her to continue to develop new companies and services. She was recently recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal for being one of the fastest growing companies, and was also featured in Inland Empire Magazine. Additionally, her company has been awarded a five-star rating by The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Amabel DeLeon is the author of ‘Bloom on the Battlefield’, a notable auto-biography based on the premise that “Blooming requires growing, maturing and changing. It requires believing that there is nothing impossible in life until you decide it is.” This is the driving force behind this entrepreneur’s philosophy of “Success is a state of mind”.

Amabel resides in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, with her husband, Alan and their three sons.
